Week 12: Check-in 3

17th of November, 2021
What aspect of your project you want to workshop for 'Check-in 3'?
This week, I had one more usertesting interview to test out the different concepts of ideas. I tried to think further where I want to focus on for the final possible solutions and what feedback I can integrated it in.

To quickly overview the whole ratings on the usertesting, I have put it on a bar graph to summarize.

Based on the testing results and the feedback that I received last week, I am currently leaning towards combining storyboards 1 and 2, which is about rating systems on the streets and helping to build a safer route for the users. I felt that since they both talk about rating and review systems, there is already a connection that could build the possible solution stronger together. I would have to see how it is as I start to work on the wireframes, however, I believe that this could be an opportunity that I can work on for this project.

With that said, I have moved on to the ‘Alternatives’ chart for our ‘check-in 3’, which our professor, Gretchen, introduced to us in the class last week. As I was overviewing the chart from the above, I noticed that the ‘fear of elimination’ section for both storyboards 1 and 2 has the lowest ratings. Although they felt that they were helpful and could provide them with a secure walking experience, the participants still showed uncertainty in their sense of fear. Within this, I thought this topic could be an area to expand, so I have put “the sense of security” and “reliability”’ as my focus point to think further about the concept.
In the class this week, we will be checking in and doing workshop activities with other classmates based on the above chart. This would provide us with a chance to expand our ideas and find strong opportunities to work on.
